Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 5, 2026
Nextrient is a free nutrition reference site. We do not require you to create an account, submit any personal information, or hand over an email address to use it. This page explains the limited data that is collected automatically when you visit, and how it is used.
What we collect
We do not collect names, email addresses, or any personally identifiable information. The following data is collected automatically by the third-party services described below:
- Pages visited and navigation paths
- Approximate geographic location (country and region — not precise GPS)
- Device type, operating system, and browser
- Referring website (the site you came from, if any)
- JavaScript errors and related stack traces (for error reporting only)
Cookies
Nextrient itself does not set any first-party cookies. The third-party services below set their own cookies when you visit:
- Google Analytics 4 — sets cookies prefixed
_gaand_ga_*to distinguish unique visitors and sessions. These cookies persist for up to 2 years. - Sentry — may set a short-lived session cookie to correlate error reports within a single session.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Doing so will not affect your ability to use any feature on this site — no functionality requires cookies.
Google Analytics 4
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand aggregate traffic patterns — which pages are popular, where visitors come from, and which devices they use. This information helps us prioritize improvements to the site.
GA4 is configured without advertising features or user-ID tracking. Data is processed by Google and subject to Google’s Privacy Policy. You can opt out of GA4 tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Sentry (error tracking)
We use Sentry to capture JavaScript errors and performance issues. When an error occurs, Sentry records the error message, stack trace, browser version, and the page URL at the time of the error. No form input, search queries entered by you, or other user-generated content is included in error reports.
Sentry data is processed by Functional Software, Inc. and governed by Sentry’s Privacy Policy.
Google AdSense (planned)
We plan to display ads through Google AdSense. When AdSense is active, Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ad Settings. This policy will be updated when AdSense goes live.
Data sharing and retention
We do not sell, rent, or trade any data. The analytics and error data collected by the services above is retained according to each provider’s own policies — GA4 data is retained for 14 months by default; Sentry error events are retained for 90 days on our plan.
We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to a valid legal request.
Children’s privacy
Nextrient does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). The site contains no user accounts, no contact forms, and no mechanism for a child to submit personal data. If you believe a child has inadvertently provided personal information through a third-party service listed here, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.
Your choices
Because we collect no personal data directly, there is nothing to access, correct, or delete on our end. For data held by Google or Sentry, use the opt-out and deletion tools provided by those services. For cookie control, use your browser’s built-in privacy settings.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes — for example, when Google AdSense is enabled — we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
